Two of the major components necessary in achieving diabetic wellness cannot be prescribed by your doctor, but rather by you, yourself.
One is a "Positive Attitude," the other is a "Communicative State of Mind."
Together, coupled with whatever has been decided upon by your diabetes medical support team, this can and will go a long way towards helping you to achieve your goals and be successful in managing your diabetes.
You must "believe" in yourself, your team and the methods prescribed or suggested, you must have enough "courage," "mental strength," and "insight" to fight daily, not to win, but to survive !
Once you are diagnosed as being a type 1 or type 2 diabetic, you and diabetes are now married, lifelong partners, no divorce or separation, you will argue, fight and have disagreements but you must live with one another.
The right state of mind, attitude and actions taken will make this marriage work, successfully!
Try to keep depression to a minimum, keep adding to what you already know about diabetes, maintain a good support group and communicate.
Communication is the key to any good relationship, diabetes included.
