Have you ever wondered what your Hemoglobin A1c results are?

Did you know that you can test yourself (in between doctors visits) to check on your progress in managing your diabetes, and have the results in less than 10 minutes at home?

An A1c test is very important and so is knowing what the test result numbers mean, listed below are links to information and a video clip that explains the A1c test result numbers:

Remember, this test and the information obtained is in no way intended to replace your doctor or diabetes care team, it is just another means to help you monitor and manage your diabetes along with the procedures set forth by your doctor.
Consult your doctor before beginning, or ending any procedures or medication associated with the care and management of your diabetes.

Have you ever tried them. I always keep meaning to get one and test the same morning I get my blood work done for my doctor to compare results. Unfortunately, I have not done it yet.

Actually, yes.
They are very accurate, made by Bayer, and very quick as demonstrated in the video above.
And they are definitely worth the time and small investment.
In conjunction with a diabetics blood glucose meter and blood pressure monitor, it forms part of a great nucleus for monitoring one's health, outside of your scheduled medical appointments.
(Let us know how your comparison turns out).
