I made some really bad food choices the past 8 days, and it's now time to fess up… The husband and I ate dinner out for the past 8 days, I was totally out of control… Carbs, carbs and more carbs… I didn't journal the food I put into my mouth and was not watching the BS's…

Ok, those 8 days are behind me and tomorrow is almost here… It time to sit down and face the facts, that I can't keep doing this… Only I can change it and make it right…

Tomorrow I will check my BS's, journal what I put into my mouth and get on that bike for 3, 20 minute sessions… Tomorrow I will take care of ME!!!

I ate a whole thing of oreo cookies then today was someones birthday so I had cake. It happens. I've had many good days & I know I need to get back to having better choices in the house, Diet Jello works for me, Diet puddings help. I do enjoy Carrots & bluecheese, when I started I did whole grain gold fish because a serving is like 40 pc's.

It happens, What normally helps me is they told me to choose the carb first, so If I wanted the cookies, first stick with the serving size, then skip the breads, ect. work around the carb.

I'm posting this to myself to. I also like international house of coffee sugar free, mocha instant coffee. It gives me some flavor to.

best wishes, I'll take care of me tomarrow too!! Great idea!

I had cheese cake AMD frozen yogurt one night, I did check my sugar afterwards but I didn't write it down!

First off don't be so hard on yourself. Everyone falls off the wagon at some point. Don't look at it as failure, look at it as a speedbump on the road.

You are in charge of your health and how your diabetes is handled, so pick yourself up, test, test, test and keep a food log. Learn the trends and what spikes your BG. Everyone has a moment of weakness, but it's important what you do today and tomorrow not yesterday.

lol lol lol
I think we all do it at some point.
The day come when I just need to have something I just wish to have and on that day I do yes I just do it but I cover for it and work out a bit longer and may be a little harder.I still right it all down and test.
I never give up on me I know I need to have a treet every now and then or I will not be happy.
So if you need a treet have one and enjoy it, just take care of it and cover for it with insulin or a harder workout.
Best wishes

I agree.

We all break down at some point and inhale the cookies in front of you (I did and I'm currently on the elliptical as I type). You just have to get back on track and work harder than before. Don't beat yourself up. You can do it. :D

Thanks everyone!!! I'm back on track today, except, I need to some more testing strips… My husband is self-employed and we don't have prescriptions with our policy… Even though we pay high enough for the policy… One day at a time!!!

It's crazy how expensive testing strips are. Which ones do you use? I think strips are cheaper through Amazon if your policy doesn't cover it. Ehh… I don't know much about health insurance so I don't really know what I'm talking about. LOL.

But yes, one step at a time.
