I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my second son. I was able to control it with my diet.

My doctor would like me to go get tested to make sure that it did in fact go away and that I'm not walking around diabetic. My dad and grandmother are both diabetic with type 2 diabetes and I guess my risks have gone up now.

Anyway, I have been checking my blood glucose levels and don't know what the appropriate numbers are when you are not pregnant. When I was pregnant, my fasting number had to be below 95. Then two hours after I ate my numbers had to be below 120. Are these numbers the same or should I be looking for different numbers?

Okay. I did have to eat a snack before bed when I was pregnant. That was very important. I'll try that tonight and see if it helps.

Thanks. So I've been checking my numbers and seem to be okay after eating. My numbers have actually been kinda low in the 70s and 80s. But, my blood fasting number has been high. It's been over 100 every single morning.
