Deit and Exercise Aug. 2010

Sorry I am late had a very interesting week this last week and had my 54th Birthday so you know now why I was having an interesting week.
I have all but 2 meds now they are my Naprason and Vytorin but that is OK I will get them soon, for 3 months of Vytorin it will cost me over $114 now that we don't have any insurance thru his Union as all of the banked hours are now gone. He had another job interview tomorrow and I have the new telephone number for the new Federal Health program in our area. Hopefully I can get help from them.

I will weight my self tomorrow morning and also get my BP for all. I started wearing my step counter again so will also have steps and mileage again this far I have gone .59 miles today am lazy today. and that is 1,059 steps so far. For Breakfast I had a bowl of cherrios and a piece of pizza from my Birthday dinner.We cut it into 8 pieces and i beleive it was a Family Size, Stuffed Chicago style.
Then for lunch I fixed BBQ ribs had 3 of those and only ate 1 with a small serving of Fried Potatoes with onions.
I have been drinking the heck out of Lemonade, Pink Lemonade and Fruit Punch all from Walmart's brand of Crystile lite. In the last Month I have drank almost 12 Gallons.

Hello Everyone How are you all doing this fine night? I am getting ready to head to Alabama this coming weekend as my Sister Sue had Surgery this past Friday and needs my help for a few weeks. I am not sure how long I will be gone but when my family needs me I am on my way as soon as I can. I'm not sure if she has the internet so this is so long for now. I need to make ahead a few meals for Bill as he has a new job and doesn't get home till after 8 some nights so he can throw a plate in the microwave to eat when to tired to cook. I am trying to make balanced meals for him to have on hand. I'm not sure if I am going to keep continueing with this discussion when I get back. I will follow any one that wants to keep this going in the coming Months if they want. As Fall is coming and school is back in session now I am getting back to my quilting as well so I won't be on here as much as I once was. Hope to keep in touch with all of you in the coming months and years.

Hi Edie its good to see you back.
Good luck with getting help with your meds.
Do the best you can with your walking. Its hard at times when you are out of
meds. It can leave a person feeling unable to exercise.
Look forward to your posts.

It's good to be back. I have almost a 3 month supply at this time for most of my stock. Bill got them filled on Friday. My sugar is back down to 90 this morning. Yeah!!!!

Well Happy Birthday Edie! It's good to hear you got that step counter on, those are a real good way to encourage us to get up and move. Hope you find the motivation to get out and enjoy these nice august evenings :) Now on to diet. I have to ask, how are your numbers?

Bill got my Meds for me on Friday all except one they wanted $114 just for my Vytorin and we just didn't have the money to get that one. Will try in Aug. as it is a 3 month supply for it. No insurance since July 31st oh well will find a way to get my meds one way or another. forgot to tell you my numbers are coming down again. from 222 on Fri. Morning to 90 this morning.

No disrespect intended, but you are eating too many carbs. The best way to control diabetes is by eliminating high carb foods. I follow the Bernstein program with great success. You can read a lot of his book online for free at:

As my husband does the shopping when he is home I have to fix what he buys so I try to get by.
