When I had cancer in my kidney, they got it out with surgery, stating that any chemo ,the other kidney would "kick it out"—-my friend's kidneys aren't cleansing her body well enough, so she is to drink water, but not too much as it works her kidneys too hard——so stick with what YOUR DR says as there are so many variables.
As for me, my one kidney left is working great—-is keeping my lab (creatinine level (??) at the top of normal limits—I don't quite get it either—-so ask YOUR DR> Take care! Pat R

When it comes to something like that, I would follow his treatment. If you have heard of something else talk to them before doing it. You also need to know why he is asking you to do this. Always get a reason for any treatment a doctor has you do. Never just say okay with out an understanding that satisfies you. Then you will have a better understanding of why water and nothing else.

he said that my kidneys are bad but that with the water they can be back to normal.

Have you seen a specialist? I am not as familiar with how they work and how you can "repair" them, but I do know you want to take as good of care of them as you can.

Cranberry juice is very good for your kidneys. There is a no sugar added brand now but I would still water it down. I think there's some kind of pill or capsuel available too.

My suggestion is for you to follow your doctor's advice, if there was an urgency I'm sure that your doctor would have recommended, prescribed or hospitalized you.
Try drinking waterbetween now and your next doctors appointment and see what happens then.
