Hey Family:

I just received a note from James. It breaks my heart to tell you Jem, the love of his life, passed sometime early in the morning of Thurs 7/22. He can use your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you Denise!

I am working for Jesus too, just more quiet about it.
I was blessed by knowing my "Jem", who was an EXCEPTIONAL lady even though she had many many what we called "medical challenges".
I am blessed and comforted by the certainty that she's waiting for me in heaven, and that she's no longer in pain, and NOW SHE IS NO LONGER BLIND! NOW SHE CAN SEE!

Blessings to you and yours!

I am sorry to hear of her passing. You and your family will be in my prayers as well.

When I Must Leave You: By Helen Steiner Rice

When I must leave you
for a little while,
Please do not grieve
and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow
to you through the years,
But start out bravely
with a gallant smile;
And for my sake
and in my name
Live on and do
all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness
on empty days,
But fill each waking hour
in useful ways,
Reach out your hand
in comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near;
And never, never
be afraid to die,
For I am waiting
for you in the sky!

Im soo very sorry to hear of your loss James, you are in my prayers. I've been off the site for a little while, but remember you very often and our other friends here on DC. Your words through the last year have really kept me grounded and have given me plenty of strength to continue on. Just wanted to say thank you so much, and I will continue to pray for your family at this time of sorrow.

God Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
Courage to change the things I can, and the Widsom to know the difference.

My heart cries for you my friend. Please accept my hand in anything you need me to do for you.

Friends always,

Thank you all very much. I've been gone for a coup;e weeks, preoccupied with Jeanne.

Thank you Suzie for putting this up.

I have put up a website honoring Jeanne "Jem" on caringbridge.org. You are welcome to go there and read all about her and us and parts of our lives together. Here's the information:
1. Visit the CaringBridge website by clicking the link below.

2. Enter the website name, jeannemariegoviabaker, at www.CaringBridge.org.
When you visit you’ll be asked to log in, because I’ve chosen to keep the site private.
Please feel free to sign the guestbook there. And add a few words if you feel like it. I will share what is written with her brother, "Skip"and Jem's niece and nephew.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I will come back here often to check other postings

I have been blessed by knowing Jeanne. My prayer is that you may be blessed with love. Please go and give your signifigant other a big hug and kiss.

(BTW Caringbridge.org is primarily designed to be used for people struggling with illness. You might want go to the home page and bookmark it for reference if needed. )

to answer Gabby's question (the info is on the obituary on the website):

"Instead of flowers, please make a donation in her honor to either the American Heart Association or the Lupis Foundation of America, or The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind." all things she supported when she could.

Thank you all

that I feel should be posted here for all to see:

I need a lot of big hugs. Last Thurs AM July 22, @ 6 am I woke on the easy chair where I had fallen alseep and tried to wake my Jem who had fallen asleep on the daybed. When I touched her she was cold and was not breathing. she had breathed her last sometime in the early AM hours of Thur, don't know when. She had so many medical challenges which could have been fatal that I don't know the exact reason for her passing, all I know is that the light aand love of my life is no longer with me.

I have put together a website in her honor at caringbridge.org If you'd like to read about her and me please go to:
1. Visit the CaringBridge website by clicking the link below.

2. Enter the website name, jeannemariegoviabaker, at www.CaringBridge.org .

Thank you so much Imsuzie. Are you able to relay our thoughts to him and his family or is there something we can do like a donation to a cause of their choice in her name? Please let us know.

Happy day,

I will be standing on the wall for James & his family in the name of Jesus. Also for you Jaabee52 may God continue to share His mercy & grace upon you all. Grieving is a process no one can tell you when where are how to grieve. It's just like your relationship w/God it takes time. Lastly but not least remember that God is not looking @ the situations that we are in for He is w/us. He is looking @ how we react to the situations.

Working 4 Jesus, & Loving it.
