We had a much needed rainy day yesterday and I pretty much did nothing! Went out to a Mexican restaurant last night and ate way too much and way too many carbs! My fastings have been in the mid 80’s to low 90’s for a while now and I woke up with a fasting BG of 122 today. Highest I have been in over 2 months! Back to work at it today, diabetes doesn’t take a day off neither should I!

Hello Thomas this is true that diabetics does not take time off. Just remember that you can eat what you want just when you get full stop. There is always another day are when you order ask them to put half in a go box. If you don't see it less chance you will eat it. This is how I help my husband out he is the diabetic in our home.

122 fasting really isn't that bad IMHO. And 160 after bfast is not terrible as well, compared to your reported Dx fasting BG of 382. It seems you are doing well. Please don't make it a habit of eating too many carbs. One little slip does not sink your efforts. Keep up the good work Thomas!

No 122 is not that bad but when I have been keeping it in the mid 80's for so long that is a 40 point difference from the norm. The point to it all is that diabetes doesn't take a day off no matter what we want to do and one day off can lead to another etc… This is a lifelong thing and for me I have to look at it that way or I will take 2 days off then 3 and so on until I am completely out of control again.
