Can somebody tell me if the One Touch Ultra mini is an accurate meter. Up until about a month ago, I was using a Wavesense Presto and according to the control solution, it was reading in the correct range. Then I bought some new strips and my readings went up. The control solution test showed okay but I had my doubts. So I got a free One Touch Ultramini. My readings were back down. Just to check, the past 2 mornings, I used both meters to see how close the readings were. Both mornings, the Wavesense read 26 points higher than the One Touch. I double checked several times and the Wavesense always read higher. Which one do I believe? Can anyone help? Thanks

I use the OneTouch Ultra. I don't know about the Ultra Mini, but to check on the accuracy of my meter, I test just before the lab draws the vial of blood. Then, when I get my lab results, I compare that number with my fasting blood sugar number in the lab report. ;-) Mara

I use a One Touch Ultra Smart and have never had any problems with it. I also carry a Mini in my purse and again no problems. I have used other meters before and always go back to my One Touch. I'm trying a Reli On Micro now (test strips are a 3rd of the cost over One Touch). Hopefully it'll be a good meter!

Hello there! I have been using One Touch meters for over 6 years now. I have shear confidence and faith in their meters. I would go with the One Touch meters readings for your accuracy. My numbers have been right on with my A1c. I can also see where Gabby is coming from as well. If you do have a extra bottle of testing strips for the other meter. I would give it another whirl before deciding.

Sometimes it can just be the strips. I have had strips get weird if they are expired or if they get too hot or cold. If you have another vile of them, perhaps give them a try.
