For those of you who have been following my post titled "I quit," I can not thank you enough for all of the kind words of encouragement that you have been giving me. I must confess that having shared the goal to quit smoking and writing it down has given it meaning and purpose. Have any of you ever thought, "gee, I would like to …" and that was the end of the thought? God knows that I have more than once. What I am thinking in this discussion is to ask what your goals are, when you'd like to reach them, how you feel you can accomplish them, but mainly to write them here so we can all encourage you. It could be a goal on weight loss or in learning a language or paying off a lurking bill. Let's write them down and share them. Make sure the goals are obtainable… "winning the lottery" probably won't work any more realistically than "losing 100 pounds overnight" but if you are realistic with your expectations, you are surrounded by others who can help you. Who knows? Maybe you'll find a goal buddy that you can share experiences with???
