GOALS - Go - Go - Goals!!!

For those of you who have been following my post titled "I quit," I can not thank you enough for all of the kind words of encouragement that you have been giving me. I must confess that having shared the goal to quit smoking and writing it down has given it meaning and purpose. Have any of you ever thought, "gee, I would like to …" and that was the end of the thought? God knows that I have more than once. What I am thinking in this discussion is to ask what your goals are, when you'd like to reach them, how you feel you can accomplish them, but mainly to write them here so we can all encourage you. It could be a goal on weight loss or in learning a language or paying off a lurking bill. Let's write them down and share them. Make sure the goals are obtainable… "winning the lottery" probably won't work any more realistically than "losing 100 pounds overnight" but if you are realistic with your expectations, you are surrounded by others who can help you. Who knows? Maybe you'll find a goal buddy that you can share experiences with???

hi. I think this is a great topic. Congratulations on your goal. You are strong, and can win this battle.
My goal in the near future I want to loose another 40 lbs. I won't say in 6 months, or 2 years. I want to do this in a healthy fashion.
I don't want to fight to loose the weight, and regain it again. That has happened to many times. Sensable weight loss means healthy weight loss.

My goal is to lose another 50 pounds by 12/31/10. That's 24 weeks and 2 days, which is roughly 2.5 pounds a week. Even if I get close to that goal, I'll be happy!

Realistic thinking is key to setting goals.
Great article and hopefully we will see many responses, many goals set, many goals met.

Yep I have ,a lot
There was a time in my life when I was not a good man,I was meen and like to do things that where not good.After 20 years of working hard on it I like me a lot heck I love me now and beleave me there was a time I didnt like me even a little.As fare a day to day goals well keeping my BS in line and keep dropping the lbs.Life goals to learn something every day,I am so lucky to have the great frends here and they all teach me things all the time and for that I thank you all
