Have your tried Frio insulin coolers? A Google search should bring up reviews and places where they can be purchased.

Hello there Runthe!!! I have done LOTS of traveling with my insulin (including Arizona and Florida). I can give you a few tips to help you make your travel and vacation easier for you. Mind you, I had to deal with my insulin pump with TSA. Here are my tips to help you out with your travels:
1. Check out TSA web for what their travel guidelines are.
2. Get a letter from your medical provider stating recognizing your diabetes, how you are treated, and the equipment/supplies you needs to carry to treat your diabetes.
3. Make sure you carry double you trip time in medication and supplies, just in case there is issues. These should ALWAYS be carried with you on board.
4. Notify the airlines and hotel/motel of your diabetes. When you book the hotel/motel let them know you will need a :)refrig for your insulin.
5. You also want to try to have something to visibly recognize you are a diabetic at all times. Just in case you become ill.
6. HAVE FUN!!!

If you would like, I have a solution to help you out with the cooling and carrying your supplies. I have a deluxe case that can hold ALL your supplies, testing, and keep your insulin cool. I just upgraded my case to a more vibrant and stylish case. If you would like, I would like to give it to someone who really needs it right now. I will even send you the cooling pack that came with it. I just bought it about 4 months ago and it is like new. I surely hope you have a GREAT TIME!!!

Becca :)

What type of insulin do you have and how long are you going for? Most pens and vials don't need to be refrigerated once you start using them and will stay good for about a month, it's only ones that are unused that need to be kept cold for long term storage.

As long as you keep it below 85 and above about 40 you can keep the vial you are using out for 28 days with no problem.
