I was just sitting here reading the discussion topic Body Ordors and all of a sudden I got this weird dizzy sensation and my surgars are 141 checked immediately after the spell. Can't explain it.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Please, please everybody that is on this site, we are diabetics. This affects our whole body. You can't ignore symptoms. I have had several TIA's, 2 strokes, plus hot flashes. I get suddenly light-headed, stomach upset, very flushed, start sweating, hard to breathe and feel faint, exhausted afterward. These are cardiac symptoms! Went to see cardiologist & endocronologist & had tests. It's a form of diabetic nerve damage & "nothing can be done" for it. In Jan. I had another spell, hit my head oin corner of a wall & was knocked out. Had a traumatic brain injury so I needed lots of therapy, but still nothing for the flashes.
I tried Evening Primrose Oil capsules 1000mg, with lunch & dinner. No more hot flashes. Why couldn't a doctor just tell me a simple over the counter med could have prevented this trauma? I suffered like this for 3 years.
This is just a warning, I don't know what is going on with anyone else. My point is we can't just let symptoms go ignored. At least call your doctor, talk to his nurse and report it to her. You don't want a stroke, heart attack or brain trauma!!

I have had this happen a couple of times , but mine adds to the dizziness, an extreme hot flash to my body and i feel like im going to pass out , my stomach churns , my face gets very pale and I stutter when I try to talk . I have not been able to figure out what it may be but it hits real hard and fast when it does.

Hi I'm new here. I feel I need to respond to this. You need to see you doctor NOW! Or go the ER! That can be signs of a heart attack. You see signs like that in women more than men. My friend just had this happen to her. She is fine. But it was scary. Hope you feeling better. Punkyzen

Well, I only had the weird feeling not the rest. I hope you can figure out what is causing your feelings. Good luck and god bless.

Once a few years ago while I was driving on a busy highway I had this strange dizzy feeling. After that it felt like the driver side of car I was driving lifted up to a 45 degree angle. I was in the center lane so I couldn't pull off the road. I just kept driving and figured as long as my two tires that were on the road were in the lane I was ok. Thank God it went away after a few seconds. I couldn't check my blood sugar at the time but it was within normal range 20 minutes later. That was the only time this ever happened to me.

Could be you need some water. Could be a blood pressure thing. Could be an imbalance in your equilibrium caused by an ear infection....there are tons of reasons you can suddenly feel dizzy. So keep track of it happening again and talk to your doctor about it. It can be some serious things, not just diabetes.

I kind of had a similar feeling a few times last year. Got real dizzy like and it kind of affected my vision. I tested my blood and it wasn’t either high or low. This happened a few times and hasn’t happened in awhile. Since I’m avoiding my doctor I really don’t know what was happening. I also tested my blood pressure and that was normal also

Don't avoid your doctor Kirla you need to see your doctor. This only happened once to me that day and not sure what it was, but I am trying to get an appointment with my doctor. Thanks and you need to see your doctor.

Take care!

I’m doing fine, I recently had myself checked out. 2 days in the hospital for testing. They wouldn’t let me go, until I passed all the tests. I’m doing fine. I hope your doctor finds you in good health.

I have experienced a spell like that. It was over a year ago and I had dinner and taken a shower. Went into the living room and boy, I've never felt anything like that before. I got up and told my daughter I was going to my room to lay down and the next thing I knew I woke up in the middle of my bedroom floor. Passed out like a light. My sugar was fine, don't know what happend but thank goodness it hasn't happend since. I never did go to the doctor. Could have been a combination of things.
