FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS I HAVE GOTTEN MY BLOOD SUGAR DOWN TO BETWEEN 86-91 EVERYTIME I TEST. BUT FOR THE PASSED WEEK IT HAS SPIKED TO 272 AND I HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING. DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.

That could come from any number of things. Sometimes a stress event will cause a rise. Even a low level stress, but long event such as work or kids or a deadline for something.
Also, it could be something like an infection or if you are feeling run down. Maybe not getting enough sleep.
Even just excessively hot weather can cause issues.
I guess what I am saying is that it is not only the food that we eat that causes us to spike. Look at the other things going on and see if you can identify what could be happening and try to help it become less of an issue.

When do you test and what do you eat and when. I started with blood sugars in the 300+ range and they are pretty good now. Have been for a year now. My blood sugar will go from 70-90 before eating to around 110-130 after eating.
