Yikes! I'm loosing my eyelashes! What gives? Does any body else have this problem? I've never had an allergy problem and I don't wear much eye makeup anymore. Does neuropathy have anything to do with it? Anyone?

I was diagnosed with Type II in Feb 2010. My hair was thinning very fast. My first A1C was 16 - 3 months later it was 7. I how have tons of inch long hair. My eyelashes were also going away fast. They have not begun to come back, but I am hopeful. This alone is enough for me to control my BG. Thanks for the post of this article. I had no idea.

Love, Sandra

Yes, neuropathy (nerve disease), and hormonal changes within the body of a diabetic has a great deal to do with this, for some people the thinning of, and falling out of both facial and skull hair.

My issue with this has been thinning of my hair.
Controlling your blood glucose level can help prevent some of this, also remember that hair loss can also be hereditary.

I had no idea that this was related. The link above is full of great information. Thank you so much for sharing. Now I see part of my issues with hair...unfortunately, thin hair runs in my family as well...where is the wig shop! ? =)

I was hoping you would respond to my plea for help:) The above links convinced me to go back on B-Complex vitamins. I stopped taking fish oil supplements a few months ago too, would getting back on fish oil help too?
