Well it has been awhile but I am finally back to check out all my DC friends. Sorry I have been away. I an doing very well on my new pump therapy. It is a little scary sometimes when something goes wrong and my sugars can get high very quickly. But overall my A1c is looking much better and I am feeling better too! It does take awhile to get used to the pump, but I think it is well worth it.

I am using the omnipod, it is taking some getting used to. overall I am having a great experiance. It is a little scary when things go wrong but overall I am doing much better. Last A1c was my best ever and the doc said he didn't want it to go much lower.

I am so happy to hear you are enjoying the insulin pump. It has been a god sent gift to me as well. I have no regrets with my the decision I made. Keep up the good work you are doing.

Hi Preacher, I am pleased that you like your pump and are having success with it. It took me almost 3 months to get my pumping going smoothly. There was so much tweaking to do to avoid the highs and lows I experienced at the beginning. Making small changes instead of bigger ones worked best for me. Much of the success made with diabetes management is accomplished by taking small steps, instead of proceeding full speed ahead. Let us know if you have any questions.

I bought the book "Pumping Insulin" by John Walsh from It helped me a lot.
