Anyone tried the Holistic approach to healing? I'm gathering information and have information to share. I am not a doctor or in the medical profession. I was diagnosed with type2 diabetes a couple of years ago. I have done a lot of research and study on this disease, and how to control it. I will check responses and respond. God Bless! and remember, God is in control.

Okay! here goes, Alpha Lipoic Acid, about 600 mgs a day. It converts sugar into energy. About 1000mg of Fish Oil, (Omega-3). and the most important is Resveratrol, 500mgs a day. a good multivitamin. Stay away from sodas and processed food. Try a high fiber diet, and cut down on the sugars and salt. There are a lot of alternatives. I use Stevia as a sweetner because it is natural and comes from a plant leaf, with 0 calories and non of the chemicals that are in other sweetners. Send me a email at mike_williams502002@yahoo.com small and give me a brief explanation of your condition and I will send uou some literature on how to make it better. after all that's what we all want to be!
By the way, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure in 2007, and type 2 diabetes in 2008. I was taking four medications, I was also taking the Alpha Lipoic Acid, along with other vitamin and supplements. In Nov. 2009, after doing my research, I decided I was going to lick these diseases. So I began to take the holistic approach; I've learned so much about how vitamin and supplements attribute to my health, that I began taking supplements that were beneficial to my health needs. I began to get the energy to exercise and walk more. After a month and a half I lost 30 lbs. I have maintained my weight by eating properly and exercising. I feel great now, but you know what the best part is? I haven't taken medication since January of this year. I hope this may of some help to most or all of you. Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure can be licked with the right discipline.
God Bless

I have been so happy by including Resveratrol in my daily supplement regimen. I can say that it's effects on me have been pretty outstanding not only in keeping my HDL in great order but my skin has really been toning up, I had these tiny squint wrinkles under my eyes and now they are gone.

I am always open to hearing information as you never know what you may learn. While I don't necessarily believe in a remedy/cure for diabetes I know there are natural substances that help control blood glucose levels. I work with a company that has spent millions in research formulating natural supplements that help the body heal itself. I know a lot of people that have been helped with diabetes, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, arthritis, neuropathy and plenty of other conditions and diseases just by providing the body with these high quality supplements. I personally have had incredible results with my arthritic knee and it has only been a couple of months. It is unfortunate that many people will never give natural or holistic healing a chance because of the many scams that are out there.

I would be very interested in hearing about natural remedies for treating type 2. I'm diagnosed only two months ago and am not having great results with medication. I look forward to your posts.
