I am a dalysis nurse, and I see it every day that my pt. who had high blood pressure and was diagnosed with diabetes and did not take of them selves. (I don't have to take my bp meds. I don't have to take my insulin or my pills the illness will go away) ends op with kidney failure. So "DON'T HAVE A CLUE" stay at this site, find other sites that will help you, talke to your doctor, find help groups.

I think for some it isn't a matter of not wanting to take care of themselves, but they may be so use of taking care of everyone else FIRST, that they put themselves on the back burner.

This was a difficult area for me. I had to finally look at it (with the help of friends on here) that if I didn't take care of myself FIRST, then I wouldn't be able to take care of others.

They were wise.
