ok I know it is talked about on most sites . but today realy took the cake I was going down town and there is a spot just infront of the bank it is handi to pull up to and let the ramp down and off you go. well as I was getting there I looked and there was a ups truck parked in the spot. So I took a picture of it and if I can figure out how to post it it is going on handicappedfraud.org. I sat across the street to see how long he was going to be there and he was parked a little over a hour . he made 3 deliveries and then locked the truck and went to lunch. ok I am usualy a jerk and speak my mind but I thought I would just send a email to ups with a copy of the picture. Well still no reply.
Now just as soon as the truck pulled away a car with one of the council members pulled into the spot and went to the bank.
well I took my chair and met him as he was leaving the bank . I asked him if they where still going to do as I asked and paint all the handcapped spots blue with the wheelchair in it. He smiled and said yes it looked like they would all be done by oct 1st.
OK then I asked him when he became disabled..if looks could kill I would be pushing up danilions up in a cematery. He said he was not and I had no right asking him why he was parked there it was none of my business. OK shure I got a couple pictures and will make 8x11 copies to pass out at the next city concil meeting.
I love my new camera that my son got me even with my shaking I still get good pictures. But I think most will be glad when winter hits and I have to stay inside.

In the greater Seattle area I have seen the Police deal with vehicles parking in handicapped zones that do not display properly identified notation, and in one case, the tow truck came, too! Besides taking picures and going to the City Council, try calling the Police and the local press to see what happens. Maybe nothing, but there will be a record of the call.

I wish the public knew that not all disabilities involve physical impairments one can see.

I am disabled, but have not applied for handicapped plates, I walk with a cane, I usually park a disdance away so that I have to walk, but what I hate are all the people who have no respect for someone walking with a cane, aspically in cross walks, It seems that you are concidered a squirrel, and people speed up. or blast there horn, and yell obscene things at you. because you are not moving fast enough. In our state you can make a right on red, and that is an all out affront on anyone walkink espically when the drivers are talking on the phone, drinking a coffee, using there lap tops and reading the morning paper. what has happened to respecting the rights of other people?

This is such an issue with me too, as my husband is in a wheel chair. He can, and often has to, push from way out in the lot, but what yanks my chain is when people park blocking the ramps to get up to the sidewalks. We were going to the movies one day and rolling in the parking lot, right towards the ramp and a lady stopped to let off her van load of kids. We exchanged glances and some lip reading...I just couldn't believe she did that with him right in plain view. People just don't get it. We have the flyers and end up handing out more than we should. I have never heard of the website you mentioned. I will have to check it out.

I too have a hadicap license plate due to being an amputee. I get so disgusted when people abuse the place cards of relatives so the could get closer parking places for the holidays. I actually heard someone say if it wasn't for my uncles handicap card I would of had to park a mile away. Guess what, We were the one that parked a mile away.

I have handicapped tags on my car, my hubby has a scooter and a wheelchair but it is so irritating when I have to unload him in front of the store/bank or wherever due to no handicapped parking spots or someone blocking them. And yes I have taken pictures also and said a few choice words.

have you been to handicappedfraud.org and downloaded there notes? I have done that and place them on the jerks cars then placed them on the site so all can read who i there town is a jerk. I print mine on card stock shure it costs more but it makes people think that I mean business. today I was coming home fro town and right in front of me this young lady parks in the handcapped spot. I mentioned to her that she was in a handcapped spot . she looked at me then said I will only be a min just going into the bank.
Well my next move alot of people in town wont like me but I am going to the chief of police and see about becoming a reserve officer just to take care of parking on main street as well as ticketing the kids on skateboards and bikes. we have big signs telling them it is against our city law.
Maybe I can put lights and a siern on my power chair and carry the judge gun. oh and girls i will be nice and carry fur lined cuffs for you.
