Unfornutely I did not read each and everyone, As I agree with all of you, ( Ray beer is flavored water ha ha) But there is some waters that are great, but there is a few that claim healthy but look at carbs and sodium can catch up on you. As the dietician says never drink your carbs. Bud light with lime has 8 carbs by the way- I had 1 ok maybe 2 yesterday on the fourth.
This was posted from quality health. com, as we all know here we can eat what we want to a degree, but in moderation.
But thanks for feedback.

I would disagree with a whole bunch of that really because you can't say avoid these foods to over 25million people as if the people and the food are all the same. They are certainly things to be cautious about but the foods within a category are vastly different. Flavored water is a good one. The la croix type stuff is just water with some natural flavor in it, 0 calorie, 0 sugar, 0 artificial sweeteener, propel water has some sweeter and carb in it, regular Gatorade has a lot more carbs. You just have to figure out the better option. Frozen pizza is another good example, you can get personal frozen pizzas that have less than 40g carb and very little fat and quite low calorie but you can also buy frozen pizzas that have double that in just one slice. Again, you have to figure out. Then you have the people, a 12 year old type 1 will have different needs to a middle aged very active type 2 who will have different needs to a woman with gestational diabetes who will have different needs to an elderly inactive type 2.

good stuff thanks, your right, i guess when thye made that list would be for people that could quite be in denial of being a diabetic and still eat things that truly effect your numbers. thanks for feedback

Your point is very good. But I have to stay away from everything on the list plus whole grains, and brown rice. And from what I've been reading lately one should add diet sodas and artificial sweeteners.

feedback I have recieved from my doctor is that when you drink diet soda or artificial sweetners be careful it tricks your mind into wanting more sweets. She says that after drinking a diet soda, some people have urge for something sweet.

Thank goodness you didn't mention bacon!!! Turkey bacon, of course!lol :). Thanks for the input! I know, I know, it's processed but one or two slices a week just for the flavor is something that keeps the life worth living, at least, for me.

Hello there! There are two here I would have to disagree with them on: flavored waters and frozen meals. I drink propel vitamin water EVERY MORNING. That is like everyone else's coffee. It gives me a good energy boost and doesn't harm my BG. In fact, we had a discussion at my last Endo appointment about my diet and he was very impressed. He was telling me to just "watch" these frozen meals. I only eat "Healthy Choice" I go for the ones that are loaded with the vitamins and minerals and "low Carbed". The same is said about my vitamin water. I cut my diet soda down to one per night as well. The others, oh yeah, I am a BIG pain in my house about these. unless I need something fast for tight and VERY BUSY nights. Other wise, it is pretty much all low carb and home cooked. I get the magazine now, I should look into their web site.
