I love my ice. Did it since childhood. My mother always took note and tell me to check my Blood sugar for some reason it always was elevated a little. I don't know whats behind that?

Oh My Gosh, this is me. I could live off of ice cubes. My kids look at me like I'm crazy but I just can't seem to get enough of it.I don't know how true it is, but a friend of mine does it also and she said her Dr. told her it was from an iron deficiency.

Wow, that is odd. I don't imagine much iron in ice, but who knows. Our bodies crave weird things. I am rather imagining my issue with crunching is just a bad habit. I too have been an ice muncher since I was a kid. It was the one thing I couldn't stop, even when I had braces. I crave crunchy things, and sometimes I think it is just that I need to crunch. I am very courious is anyone knows if it is linked to being diabetic or prone to diabetes.
