The date is July 13th at 8am. My pre op is actually on July 8th which is my 4th wedding anniversary lol. So..not happy with that. My pre registration at the hospital is the 12th of course. I am very nervous but i am sure i will be fine. I will ask all those questions on the 8th and let you all know what his answers all. Thanks to everyone for the prayers! I feel so blessed to be surrounded by you great people!!

I will be praying for you!! You know what I do before a surgery, I always visuallize that the Lord is doing the surgery, I see him not just guiding the surgeons hands but actually doing it Himself. This always relaxes me. Hope that this helps. I have had 6 surgies and this worked every time for me.

I think I will have to try that! I like to imagine him holding my hand going down the hall way! That is the worst part to me. knowing that i am fixing to be put into a state that doesnt allow me to know what is going on around me, but not really sleeping. He told me i would not remember anything, however, i could hear him talking and even told him what he was saying. most of it is a blur but i remember hearing his voice, I like to think this was God letting me know he was in control and if knowing what was happening would give me peace, then he would allow me to have it!

God is in control!! Don't forgot that, ever!! For me the worst part was being put to sleep, I hate that!! It's just plain creepy!! Keep in touch.

You will do fine. Don't get all bent up about it, it will just make your levels go higher than they will anyway. Keep calm...you will be fine. Besides, I bet your daughter will take great care of you.

thank you sir! Thats what i want to talk to him about most. Both my daughter and i are having a1c's done today! Praying for a good number! He did tell me if i was in the pre diabetic range still that i was not facing much more than a non diabetic would face as far as infection. He is more concerned with the nerves than the infection so i am confident that God has this all worked out and it will be fine!

Nobody likes the thought of surgery but you'll feel more relieved when it's over and done with. My wife had knee surgery and she's been doing awesome. She's now talking about the other one later in the year. Our only advice is that no longer how hard or painful the following physical therapy is, it is of paramount importance. Keep that in mind. Know that I/we will be thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

i had this surgery a year ago, but from the bottom of my foot and not the top, and also without the pin. I am thinking this may be a pin he will remove in the office in a few weeks but i do not know for sure, i will find out on the 8th! Glad the wifey is healing well. Best of luck with the other knee! My dad had knee surgery and struggles with it after a year. He is going to have it redone I think! So, nice to know she did well and had success! Hopefully my father will too this time!

I will be praying for you and the doctor at that time, just remember God will be right there with you.

thank you! I know he will and I hope that I have enough of my right mind after sedation to acknowledge him and know that he is my peace!
