I welcome all ideas about getting some exercise with severe damage to my legs from being hit by a car while walking across the street.

I am an amputee due to a MRSA infection. I found with the help of my rehab team an exercise machine which allows
seated exercise. However the machine is costly. However
since I won't be taking hiking vacations and can't walk
long distances. I found it worth the investment. If you
are interested in more information send me a message
and I will send you the information. Again good luck.

I would suggest you check with your local public t v station.
In Wisconsin they offer a program daily called Sit And Be Fit.
They sell DVD's. They also offer seated yoga classes. Good
Luck to you.

Do you have access to a pool? That can be one of the best whole body exercises and usually has little pain because of the ease on the joints.

There are also a lot of seated exercises that you can do. There are DVD's on it and many of them will even come with an exercise band to use with the DVD.

Not everything has to involve walking, running or even biking. There are all kinds of things to do without the full use of your legs. My husband is in a wheel chair and he goes to the gym to work out on the weight machines and he uses the pool.
