Unless you live in a cave, you’ve probably heard of an auction website called ebay. There are many other excellent and legitimate auction sites like and and

From my experience I have purchased a $400 canvas painting by Maxfield Parrish for $40 (my most prized possession), various inexpensive but brand new computers, a $25 brand new fax machine, a lot of nice quality jewelry, a $200 pair of Drunk N Munky jeans for $10 and many other bargains. It pays to shop around!!!

Note: I have seen diabetes testing strips and medical supplies (cpap masks, etc) on sites like Ebay at less than retail.

On a side note, My neighbor recently pointed out that with my weight loss, it’s time for new jeans. Oh, no, I don’t care if I have to tie my Drunk N Munkys up on the side like Baby Huey in a diaper, I love my $10 jeans!!!

Anyway, what are your favorite auction websites???

I have used Ubid in the past. I guess I tend to stick with what is familiar, but it is a nice site. I still drift back to Ebay. The thrill of the bidding is not for me, but my hubby really gets into it. Right down to the last second. He loves the "win!"

Yup, that's me all the way… 8 seconds-7-6- refresh … bid now. I don't get caught up in overpaying though (obviously from my testimonials). There was another auction site that I used to buy Microsoft Office 97 for $25 some years back but can't remember what it was called. Oh, and another now that I think of it was called rubylane. That was mostly art and antiques. I haven't been to that one in years and never bought so I can't give testimonial to it.

Sometimes I just get lazy and go to There you don't bid, you just buy, but the prices are great on books there. I know you love your pages...have you ever checked them out?

Oh I've been there especially for hard-to-find books. I'll be sharing some other cool book sites with you in future posts of "Money Matters." Have your credit card ready… operators are standing by.

I have recently found a new auction site that I love. Instead of using money to bid, a person uses credits. Credits can be bought but mainly they are earned by bidding on auctions, leaving feedback, posting auctions on Facebook or Twitter. By using my link and signing up you will get 50 credits ($5.00 if you bought them) and another 50 credits if and when you list an auction. You can use the free 50 credits to bid on something that has free shipping and it will cost you nothing. I recently won an auction for 4 pairs of diamond earrings, a $20 Subway card, a $5 Walmart card, some jewelry, flower pots and other things. This site also has rewards auctions for those who list auctions. One of the rewards auctions is for a 12 mp camera. If you would like to join please use this link and get 50 free credits.

LOL!!! Awww…once you love something so much, you're more inclined to find every way possible to not have to let go. I will have to look at these other sites here and see what I can find.
