Does anyone know of a good website to go to to help plan out your meals? Something that gives you suggestions.

Hi
I frequently visit the OneTouchGold website it has lots of information. You can create a meal plan and print out a shopping list. You are going to love it.

Good Luck

I've used a site awhile back and it had lots of good ideas. I forgot to save it but I found it by using a search engine asking for Diabetes Meal Plans and started looking at them.

The ADA also has a page on their site that lists several books that can help you plan meals. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to do it for yourself, but this is a great way to get started.

One thing I also do is when I purchase a cookbook, I try to make sure it has the nutritional values of a meal. Many do that now, so it is easier than it used to be. If you are looking at the carbs in your meal, you can plan your side dishes and beverages to round out your meal goals.

I found one on www.foodnetwork.com

I kind of liked it, because it let you eat some really good foods. I got tired of not eating any carbs!
