Kroger also has a $4/30 or $10/90 program. I am also able to get my lisinopril at this rate as well. Good luck!

Depending on where you live, supermarkets are giving metformin away for free. Someone mentioned Publix, the Shoprites in my area participate in this too. Go online or check in at your local large supermarket.

I recently found out that the discount plans are not available in all states so it may be you are unlucky. Where available, Publix gives it away for free and most pharmacies do some sort of discount plan $4/30 days or $10/90 days or similar. Giant Eagle, Target, Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, plus many others do something.

I get it at CVS for $7.50, may be an insurance thing though. If you have a Publix supermarket near you they have been advertising Free Metformin, I'm going to try there on my next refill I think they just expect you to move all your stuff there and they will make the money back on your other meds.

Walmart is the only pharmacy that has the $4.00 and $8.00 for the Generic medications. Meanwhile CVS and others are making a killing on the people who can't drive to the nearest walmart. But wait now walmart has a phamacutecal delivery program not sure how that is going haven't heard much about it.

All I can remember about home delivery by a pharmacist is It's a wonderful Life when Mr. Gower's smacked George in the ear for taking too long to make the delivery to one of his customers.

I hope by now you have found Metformin at a more reasonable price than what you were paying? I have been a Type II since 7/21/'09. I get all my meds at Walmart. As apparently so do a lot of your other responders.
Mine are a 30 day supply for $4.00. They, (Walmart), like a lot of your discount pharmacies do the same thing. They have a 2 stage program with a large selection of different drugs. You can get a 30 day supply for $4.00 and a 90 day supply for $10.00. They usually have a chart posted on one of the walls in the pharmacy area and they let you know if your particular prescribed drug is available on 1 or both programs. My 2nd diabetic drug is Glimepiride 4mg. My Doctor knew I was having problems paying for my meds because I have been out of work for almost 2 years & because I take 6 other meds a day, so she wrote this Rx for 1 tab with supper every day. But, she told me to break them in half and only take 2mg each evening, that way I get two months worth of medicine for $4.00.

Best of luck in using your buying power.
Regards, Lymy (Rosemary)
