I've noticed lately we have been having conversations about medial alerts/I.D.'s. I kind of want to add a little here in terms of younger children who must/need to wear one. I noticed a student who had diabetes and was not wearing one and how young they appeared. A child with diabetes or not should be wearing one. With children turning up missing every day by complete strangers, some of the medical alerts out there just add fuel to this concern. I have two children with potentially life threatening conditions. Along with the fact we are struggling to get our little boy to understand the stranger thing. I went looking to find a medical alert that would not show there names at all openly. I came across a company called "My Precious Kid". The bracelets have medical alert on them but the child's name is consealed inside on a waterproof medical info strip. Any child that has any medical issue(s) should really have one on them. There is always a first!

I looked at the bracelets and they have designs that are so cute for medical bracelts. They have cute dogtag keychains with a cute design on one side and you can write something on the other that would be great for like a diaper bag.
That's an awesome page. Thankyou for putting this up.

They have other really great companies that make cute and fun medical alerts like www.creativemedicalid.com but these poeple offer the "safe" way for younger children.

Those are cute. I saw a few that I thought were really pretty. My old school counselor got her one where it stores that data but it stays in her diaper bag. This is something she could wear and no one would notice what it was. Thanks for showing me this one too.

I am all for the medic alerts that we all should wear, no matter our age. I am not a fan of anything carries too much personal information, specially on a child. I would be too afraid of it getting snagged up and used improperly. I am a bit on the paranoid side on that issue. But the alerts, most assuredly.

The medical alerts I use on my younger two kids are just that. They offer no info on the front except "Medical Alert". They use a velcro strap, so it is not easy to lose or accidentally come off, and it is water proof for kids who love swimming. There are just way too many kids with medical issues that are not being protected. Classic example, if your kids ride the school bus. Thanks for the comment.
