I found that walking 1 mile per day has allowed me to lose 5 pounds every 10 days or so. I'm concerned I will end up underweight! How do I keep from losing too much weight? I don't want to change my routine as it has helped me lost the weight i needed and im sure is good for my heart.

Doing as you are doing, you will not end up under weight if the weight that is coming off is excess body weight.

You will end up healthier, and as a diabetic, it will help your metabolism greatly.
As long as you are eating the right foods and taking care of yourself, you are several steps ahead of the game, there are many people who would love to be in your shoes right now.

You are doing great, don't worry about being underweight !

thank you!! My doctor was frustrated with me that i lost 27 pounds in under 2 months but all i did was walked, cut out ALL soda and stuck with the 45 carbs per meal! I was not on a "diet" per se just trying to lower the numbers! My A1C went from 6.5 to 5.7 in that short time too! I was at 180 then (only 5 foot tall) and now I am at 140 which is where i want to be. They said 130 was my ideal weight but at if i lost much more i would look sick… thanks for your time, i look forward to us being friends :D God Bless!
