I know what to do about the lows. What can you do about highs even after you have taken all your meds?

I would also like to know how to process your own herbs and how to fill capsels and where do you get all of it?

Try and drink some bittermelon juice(2oz like a shot) and 1oz of coconut oil. Usually starts to work for me within an hour or so if I get a high for no reason I can tell. Try and take 2 oz of bittermelon juice 3x every day and see what happens after 2-3 weeks. My brother likes to go running around when he's high but I don't know about that. I heard that exercise can initially raise your BG levels, but will lower it after the initial rise. It works for him so…

I have heard that bittermelon tea/juice is rather nasty. I take it in capsule form. Is the juice more effective?

Supposedly better fresh, I get dried and make a decoction(like tea but simmered for 1/2 hour or so) and yes it tastes horrible. So drink it like a shot. Unless you have a bittermelon extract I would go fresh if possible but if not, from what I've read through research and herbal studies, the dosages on herbal packaging are ridiculous like what is 1 or 2 500mg pills of dried herb going to do? Everything I've been reading on therapeutic doses of the herbs I use points to grams not milligrams so like 4 500mg pills= 2 grams, 8=4 grams etc. All my herbs I take I take at least 3-4 grams 3x a day but I stopped all the store bought capsules for sake of cost and went bulk and put em in capsules myself,so it's a lot cheaper for me to take a whole lot without it hurting my pocketbook too badly. But that's just for the herbs I'm taking. If you take other herbs, it may be less especially if you make a decoction or have an extract. I just take the pure herb. Bittermelon can be cooked with some meat and oyster sauce and other vegetables but fresh juice is supposed to be best and whoooeeeee its an eyeopener. Chase it with something.
Good choice on the Stevia. If you read up on it, you'll see it has benefits for diabetics like helping to stabilize your blood sugar levels. Don't take my word for it though, research it. I find that studying herbal medicine is very interesting and I've come to put a lot of what I've researched on Nutrition and herbal medicine to good use and helped me and some others. My brother was one of them but he fell off the horse just recently and went back to his old ways and back on his meds. I guess he found it easier to take a pill than to eat right and take some horrible tasting stuff.

I am VERY interested in the wholistic remedies. My goal is to knock this diesease on it's butt. In 5 months I have knocked about 100 points off my daily reads with only diet, exercise and supplements, and I am still dropping. Though now it is getting harder and I am going to have to look at another radical change to get over the bump. DonnaAnn was saying too that she processes her own herbs. Does it take alot of time? Is it really better than capsules where I can get multiple herbs in one? I am not on meds because I can't afford the doctor visit...I don't want herbs to fall by the wayside for the same reasons. This has me intrigued.
