I have run into wall after wall trying to get some help with the cost of my meter supplies. Because I have no insurance it seems there is no help. Does anyone know of a company or organization that would help in this situation?

Welcome to Diabetic Connect !

There are many free and reduced services and supplies out there, all it takes is a little searching and a great deal of patience (sometimes), you can try some of the sites and information provided by clicking on the link listed below.

Here is a discussion with a link to a great group of people who are helping hook up the uninsured with programs to help them out. I have called it and am getting ready to explore insulin with them. But they do all kinds of programs. You fill out a form on the site, then they pre-approve you and you talk to a rep. Once you get the doctor to fill out his part and if you qualify financially, they can get you on board with some great programs. Give it a try.

I myself have seen MAYS here offer advice as to meter supplies, etc. Perhaps if you send him a message he'll be able to help you.

Hi Kitty! Welcome to DC There's a wealth of knowledge here. I am new to diabetes but every day i learn something new. My local grocery store Publix has started a diabetic program. I don't know where you are from but if you are anywhere near one of these stores you can find a lot of help there.

here is another link that may be able to help

I also know there are many programs like this surfacing in other places and other members of this community have been really doing a good job at putting it out there for people like us who come in for some support. Keep your head up!

Nice to meet you.
