Hello Everyone.
I have been battling a specific diabetic problem for some time now, and, still not sure where to look for the answers. Oh, I'm sorry, what the heck was the question! God, why me?
I can find answers using forums and websites such as this; I can go to the hospital and visit doctors and nurses; I can watch all kinds of television medical shows; I can read ten books that tell me the exact same thing, just not in so many words. These are fine and soothing to the body and mind, but not the soul.
I ache with arthritis and pulled muscles, but my biggest pain is not knowing why I was created in this way.
So, I ask here, in this forum of fellow diabetics and friends who have asked the same question, but, perhaps not so loudly…is there a answer? Have you asked Him and gotten a reply, some comfort?
I am not looking for a religous debate or trying to spark a fire. I am a religous person who feels that all people no matter what the infliction ask the same thing, God, why me? No matter what the Path one hsa chosen to take, I feel that we need spiritual answers as well of that of the physical world.
No where have I yet to find a place where people can go for spiritual guidance for illness. it has become a world of Doctors, Lawyers and Indian Chiefs.
I realize that this forum may not allow for such a spot to exist due to the nature of its being. So, on that note, does any one know of a place where the blue birds sing answers to such questions and where answers and strength can be gotten and heard?

I was diagnois a type 1 diabetic, I believe we all go through asking why…I believe we are placed in this world for a reason, god has his reasons for placing us on earth with an illness.
Stay happy & keep smiling, he loves us & we can't change what we are born or placed on earth with.
God Speed!!~

I am not a religious person but I am very spiritual. I don't ask why me type questions because I know that everything happens for a reason. There is a reason I have had a weight problem since birth! There is a reason I became diabetic right before my 21st birthday. There is a reason I had an undiagnosed torn ACL for over 20 years that caused me to have osteoarthritis in my knee. There is a reason I went to college for 4 years to get a great job only to lose it because of a bad economy less than a year after getting the job. There is a reason for all the other things that happened in my life that have made me the person I am right now.

Without all of those things happening to me, I probably would not have been ready to accept the message I heard from a friend a month ago. I believe that message is the answer to why all of those things had to occur. It is the answer to what am I suppose to do with my life. It is the reason I feel better everyday, my blood sugar is controlled, my knee doesn't hurt anymore and I am finally losing weight.

Accept that you are on the path you are suppose to be on. Believe that one day when you are ready, your "why" will find you and all will be clear.

God Bless,

I ask that same question often, on issues of my health and many others. I have yet to find an answer that can satisfy me other than this: I believe I was put here upon this earth for a reason and in my trials I normally always learn something. I like to believe that one day I may be an inspiration to others, or help support others, My trials will help me be more empathetic , my trials are nothing compared to trials others face and nothing compared to the trials the one who gave his life for me faced. It makes me thankful for each precious day that I am here able to give testimony. To be honest my trials make me a better, mom. wife, daughter, friend , teacher and person.

Good Morning !

Keeping in line with my practice of religious non interference, I am straying a bit off course by offering this bit of information to you.

Here is a site and an article that may be of interest to you and may provide some peace and comfort, it has religious leaders representing various religious faiths answering one question in common based on their faith without crossing over or criticizing the faith of others.

The topic is, " Where is God in times of tragedy? "

Whatever your religious belief, maintain your faith and your physical health, control that of which you can so that you may prosper health wise.

A healthy body, a less stressful life and a clear mind are essential to combating any disease, discomfort or ailment!
