I was takin 250 units in the AM nad 250 units in the PM, Plus up to 50 units of R 3x daily. And after all that and being on a strict diet and exercize i still run fasting 321 and daily up to 600. other than once in a while feeling the effects of high sugar im healthy and feel good. does anyone know ANYTHING that i can talk to the doc about to help me more. thanks

Over this past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting a type1 diabetic who was constantly having very high or very low BS readings. After many years of being out of control she is finally stable now because she figured out that she has to have proper hydration. She said that without proper hydration her insulin was only half effective. (If she took 30 units her body reacted like she only took 15.) Are you getting enough fluids? When I exercise I have to drink even more fluids or I will get a headache. It might be worth looking into.

Good Luck and God Bless,

Stress can make your number run high as well as certain medications, talk to your doctor about it.
