Here's an interesting article I came across today for those who are taking a diuretic.

Thanks for the link. This year I had a Wond Care Dr request me to ask my FP to prescribe diuretics. I was reluctant to ask even though it would have been for short term use. When I finally asked a month later, my FP did not prescribe them. I am glad the edema is resolved a short time later. Also I had high blood pressure caused by bad veins in my legs. While in post op recovery for the 2nd vein ablation operation my BP was 20 lower than it had been for months. It has continued to be 20 to 30 lower for the last three weeks. I will have a happy surgeon next week when I see him again. And my FP had mentioned the possibility of putting me on BP meds if it didn't drop soon. He should be happy with my new lower BP next visit. I am happy bcause I have lower BP, my BG is staying low, and no need to take a diuretic.

Thank you for this article. I'm going to have to check my mom's meds because I know she takes a diuretic for her blood pressure and she's been having a hard time with getting her levels to come down. Definitely something to tell her to discuss with her PCP. Thanks again!

Blessings,
