I had to be put on insulin twice a day to get my numbers down. Been taking it now for 3 months. now I am on metformin 500 mg twice a day and insulin 30 units twice a day. I feel great A1c was down from 10 to 8.
Do you do any type of exercise? That is something that helps me keep my numbers low.
For my exercise I walk, started out with 15 minutes then when I got use to that I moved up to 20 minutes. Now I am walking for 90 minutes at 2.3 miles a hour, so I walk 3.5 miles a night. Plus do a lot of walking where I work. It help to burn off the sugars cause they are there for energy and to get rid of them you have to use them. You don't have to walk, any type of exercise will work.
