A slight milestone

In testing my fasting b.s. level (after getting up, but before breakfast), two days in a row, it was below 200: 179 yesterday and 175 today (the lowest ever).

I know that is still pretty high, but for me - that is a milestone in my 1.5 weeks since finding out how bad my numbers were.

I'm even teetering between 239 and 240 in the scale - I haven't seen below 250 in a few years … so to have lost about 10 lbs in roughly 3 weeks (started some changes before I knew about my blood sugar) is pretty darn good - and that was just from cutting out: sweet ice tea (now just drink unsweet), sodas, eating loads more veggies and fruit, and nearly cutting out rice, potatoes, etc. Still working on moving my butt, but client work keeps me chained to the desk (grrr).

Thanks for letting me share! =)

Have an awesome weekend everyone! =D

Congratulations, Barb. That's great news. Each point lost is a little bit of health added to your life. That's wonderful! Keep up the good work.

Great job, keep doing a good job. I don't know what kind of work you do but maybe you could start a walking club at work? Get other people involved. Keep believing you can do this.

That is fantastic! I know how you feel with the numbers, so don't let your life become just a big number fest. Pay attention to how you are feeling and what you are doing too. Those numbers will drop, and you will keep on going. That is good, keep it up...or should I say keep it down? LOL

Your doing great. Keep it up and your numbers will soon be getting close to 100. My numbers dropped from the 300+ range to the 100+ range in about four weeks. I posted my first months reading here. Click on the link below.

I found that drinking 8 glasses of water and eating lots of low carb vegetables worked great for me. I posted my first and second years of being diabetic blood sugar numbers here. Click on the links below.

Great job
