I continually have tremors in my hands. is this diabetes related

I have not read about diabetes causing tremor unless you are having a low where you do get shaky. But if you are not having a low, and you get tremors I would talk to the doctor about that.

this sounds like it could be neuropathy starting in your hands if you also get a tingling like your hands fall asleep while you are sleeping and a burning once in a while it could very well be diabetic neuropathy especially if you have been on meds for a while the longer the med intake thye more chance of neuropathy developing
