Hey everyone,

I'm new to these boards and wanted to tell everyone a little bit about myself and how my new Dexcom (CGM) has changed my life. I'm a 25 year old female and have been a type 1 diabetic for almost 7 years now. My A1C's have usually ranged from 7-8.5, but ever since I got the Dexcom, they have been SIGNIFICANTLY down. I don't know if it's popular yet or if anyone has it but I'd like for some of you to share if it's working for you? I can't even begin to tell you how the quality of my life has changed and I finally feel like I have control and support. Thanks!!

Hi, Welcome to DC I am new to the Medtronic minimed Insulin pump Revel which has a usb carelink that downloads everything from my meter to my pump and my pump to the computer. I am in the works for a continuous care sensor which will detect all my lows and highs and alert me of them. I am glad I got the pump as it has helped me drastically, my BG's were as high as 300 to low 400's and now 90's - high 140's. Who could ask for any better readings! I am glad not feeling tired, sluggish, annoyed, angry, sad, depressed I feel great and in control except for my work issues but other than that life is great! now that I am on the minimed revel paradigm.

Glad to hear you are in control and continue a successful healthy life living with Diabetes.

God Bless

Hello there! I am actually wearing the Animas PING and just found out by the end of this year, PING will also be using the Dexcom linked with it. Dexcom and my insulin pump company has teamed up together now. I am actually looking to go on the Dexcom CGM. I have heard so much wonderful stuff about their CGM. I was kind of wondering what the costs are like? Keep up the great working you are doing and stride for the best.

I'm using the Medtronic Carelink whatever it is CGM. It works pretty well and I'm able to get 6-7 days out of it instead of the 3 they say, so that helps financially. It's a big help when I'm trying to nail down my erratic sugars (went from 180 this morning to 386 after eating only 25 carbs and taking a proper bolus). Can't say I"m RIGHT on track, but the CGM is a big help with working out better basal rates.

Hello and welcome
I worked with it for a short time I just didnt need it
Didnt have big highs or lows but I can see how it would be great for a T1 that was unable to tell when they where going very high or low.
Best wishes
