i am a diabetic and been having issues with my menstral as well..doctors dont know what causes it. then she tells me that it is my hormons. but i am also under a lot of stress… does anyone know how to destress besides the breathing?

Hi there Mac, I am new to all of this as well. I have failed having my periods since Jan 2010. My recent tests had shown me having high levels of testosterone, now I am scheduling an appointment with an endocrinologist to see if it may be Cushings , PCOS and thyroid conditions. I found that part of my stress was not knowing what the heck was going on with me. I do feel relieved to have found a doctor that really listened to me and finally ordered tests. I also have started a morning ritual, when the house is quiet by making myself a hot cup of green tea and sit without the news on and instead listening to my bird sing. I also have to agree with petals idea of Eucalyptus spearmint stress relief, there is an inexpensive bath salt you can buy called Dr. Teals and the Eucalyptus Spearmint combination is so relaxing. I wish you the best :)

Getting on this site and letting it all hang out, lol, will help a lot, you'll see. Talking with people who know what you're through really helps to destress.

First of all welcome to our little corner of the world wide web! There are a lot of ways to work on your stress besides breathing but it's different for everyone. Some choose to focus on exercise (walking, swimming, working out) while others may enjoy grabbing a good book and going out in solitude to a park (no cellphone or interruptions) to just relax and unwind. For some people it could be a hot bubble bath. Crank up your favorite music. Sing along with it. Also learn to say "NO" to those who add to your stress by asking you to commit your time or talents to their objectives. It's time to relax and achieve your own.

I don't know what type of female problem that you having, but I feel for you. For years I had female trouble to. What helps me with stress is to let it out, scream, yell just don't let it sit there. I pray, go for wallks and I use from bath and body works, Eucalyptus spearmint stress relief body lotion, this stuff is great and it works big time!!
