I have suffered for years with migraines. My triggers are certain smells (tar is one). Also when I go too long without eating, loud noises, heat/humidity (which is bad when you live in FL). The biggest trigger is stress. I read petals reply that caffiene is bad for them but the caffiene helps mine. Here is a website that might help: http://www.healthcentral.com/migraine/trigger...

I know from my diabetic educator and schooling, that low blood sugar has a potential of giving you headaches. I am not aware of high blood sugars doing this though. I have severe migraines and we've had to try different medications to control it. To help me with the pain, I will try placing a ice pack over the area that hurts on my head and lay down. It has helped me a lot of times. Best of wishes to you and hope they get better for you.

I don't know if high sugars cause damage to the nerves that could cause these head aches. I do know that uncontrolled diabetes does affect our ability to comprehend, recall and react, so maybe there is a connections. I found an article on the Mayo Clinic's website on migraines with aura (other visual or neurological symptoms) http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/migraine-with-aura/DS00908

I have had migraines off and on since I was a teenager, never did find out way. All the test were good. I found out that sometimes bad storms will give me one. And caffiene is bad for them. So I am a decaf girl. Hope this helps.
