I feel like I don't care anymore. I've been at this for several years and my numbers get worse

Hi, Acurrie20
I totally agree with Petals. That's the ticket all right. Until I kept every aspect of my diet in check and actually walked everyday instead of just "thinking about walking" nothing came together. So, diet and exercise I would say are the keys to control.
Don't give up. We've all been there and done that, believe me. Everybody here knows what you're going through.
Is there a diabetes class that you can attend? Ask your doctor because if the insurance will cover it you'll need a prescription. It's a place where you can get face-to-face advice and help and also meet other people with diabetes. I myself go monthly. I've met some really nice people there who go out of their way to help others.
Hang in there, baby! From here on, things are going to get better for you.

I found that drinking 8 glasses of water a day and eating lots of low carb vegetables helped bring my numbers down quick. I also stopped eating high carb starchy foods like bread, pasta, potatoes and most foods that contained more than 5-6 net carbs per serving.

I wrote how I controlled my blood sugar here. Click on the link below.

On my site there are also several other diabetic website links you should read. I found them all to give great advice for people having a hard time controlling there blood sugar.

Good luck
Kevin

Everybody (and every body) is different. There are no one size fits all routines of diet, exercise, and/or medication to control your numbers. I know people who have had to have medications checked and rechecked before they are controlled. I sure wish I had enough knowledge to offer help but I would think it's in the hands of the doctors and dietitians to help you with the issues you are facing. If you need an ear or shoulder, by all means drop me a message or friend invitation. It's okay to call … just make sure to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and march forward!!! Let me know if I can help in any way.

We all go though stressful times. Perhaps you could contact your Dr. or D.E. and share your problems and they in turn can get you back to staple numbers.

I am sorry that you feel that way and that your numbers are worse. But don't give up , keep on fighting!! Maybe you need to just make some changes in your diet, or workout more. Hang in there!!
