What is the consensus on sharing supplies with those in need ? i know i read some of a discussion saying it could be illegal what did everyone finally decide ? would like to know opinions on if they were paid with ins, and also if they are supplies that were given to me thanks ahead of time . love to all GREG

Hey, Greg
Last time I called in for more test strips, 800 lancets (8 boxes) came along with my order.
Since I don't use individual lancets, I called them right away and was told to throw them out, that they couldn't take them back. I only use the self-contained drum that Accu-Chek puts out.
So, I don't see any reason why I can't send them to you so they can be used by someone else. Please click on my picture and send me a message with the name and address where you want me to send them if you think you or someone else can use them, and I'll be glad to see that you get them.

Actually, that brings up another issue of potential insurance fraud on the part of the company filling your prescription. If they are truly throwing them in at their expense then that's fine but if they are billing your insurance for something you didn't order or want just to make more money, they should be held accountable. It would be worth checking to see if they are billing for them and if they are then notifying your insurance company. It is common for stuff like this happen and is part of the problem with increasing healthcare costs.

You bring up a good point things like that are the main reason ins. costs and healthcare costs are rising so uncontrollably most people wouldnt even notice the added charges unless they are really paying attention and keeping themselves educated on whats proper and whats not love to all GREG

Hi, KD
Well, since I get them through Prescription Solutions which is a part of my insurance plan, is it the same thing? I suppose I should find out before I do anything with them. It's just that I hate throwing them out. Someone else can use them.

It is illegal if you get them thru an ins.comp
If they are given to you and you give them away its ok thats for strips .For any thing you need a scrip for you can get busted for giving it away to some one els.
Some of us share extra strips with frends that need the help
if we have extra.
I have a life time supplie of lansets lol they where given to me
Best wishes Greg
