Greetings… first of all let me confess that the only times the words "nice body" were used in a sentence addressed to me was in reference to my hair… and that was years ago!

Not only am I am computer geek but I've been a library geek for some time now. Your local library will have many books (illustrated) and DVD exercise videos that you can take out to get a routine down that works for you.

Another tip is to check out YouTube here on the internet. I really enjoy the old episodes of the Jack Lalanne tv show (1960s) that are available on YouTube. Lalanne's show was based on simple exercises at home without fancy equipment.

Did you know that a 16 oz water bottle weighs the same as a 1 lb weight? You don't want/need a fancy weight set or a gym membership to exercise effectively.

Start small and think big.

I started out with a book called "8 minutes in the morning" which has alot of exercises in it. But I'm lazy… the book "One Minute Workout" really looked more appealing. I now try to get 30 minutes a day of exercise with leg lifts, sit ups, push ups, thrusts, and other things. It's important to mix it up and don't push yourself daily… 5 times a week is fine.

I am proud to say that I just went to Kohl's last night (expecting great things) and bought a new suit and some new jeans with a 34" waist. Oh, and a new belt too!!!

Just make sure to eat breakfast daily to kick start your metabolism for exercise and mix up cardio with fat burning with weights and you'll have a well rounded workout instead of a well rounded body.

All I do is walk 3.5 miles a night, plus walking at work average 6 to 7 miles a day, but at night is the most intense, walk 2.3 miles a hour for 90 minutes. knees and back won't allow for much more than that. Keeps my sugars down though so can't complain
