Does anyone know the daily recommended number of carb gram intake? I think I am taking in way too many.

I myself would like to know if there is any good readin on carbs. My weight has fluctuated and I think I need a change. Let me know I'm always willing to learn.

Your numbers will tell you if you are eating too many carbs or just too much of anything.
The best thing to do is visit a nutritionist and get a program worked out just for you. My mom can eat more carbs than I can per day. She is on meds, I am not, so I have nothing but my food to change my sugar levels.
I know that the ADA recommends 130g to 150g a day. What I found is that now that I test before and after a meal, I can figure out what crabs spike me most, and then I just know to avoid them. It is a pain (in the fingers) to test so much, but it is the best way to learn.
I thought I could handle some rice, some pasta...nope! After I started testing, I found certain things (even brown rice) would spike my numbers after a meal.
Carbs are hard to curb, but once you start, you will find that you don't miss them so much and you can get healthier carbs like in beans, fruits and whole or raw grains. The more you test, the more you learn, the better choices you can make.

The number of carbs differ from person to person. One person may be able to eat pasta, and another may not. Many additives in foods may spike ones sugar but not anothers.
your best bet is to see someone in your hospital at a diabetic clinic. Get assested by them. Attend meetings at night and listen to what they have to say.
