RecentlyI started a discussion onIgnoring Your Diabetes, due to other illness.Well Isuffered a setback, and ended up in the Hosp. for four day's. I start to sweat profusly, no matter what I am doing, gardening or sitting reading a book.but this time it was followed with chills, shaking real bad. My BSwere127, I had no fever. So they admitted me for observation. They did all kinds of tests, ex-ray, EKG's, stool and urine, and numerous blood tests. needless to say everything came back normalSo I came homeand my Doctorssaid they would do some brainstormingand talk to me on Mon. While sitting in the recepyion rm, I picked up a msgizine, and was readingabout cronic Pain, which I suffer from and the beginning of the article stated that not to many yrs back these people were often thought of. IT IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD.WEll at that moment they called me and after a short discussion It camearound to IT IS ALL IN YOU HEAD.Because I have suffered with this for a while now, with no answers, my Dr.s all decided my depression was deepening and I should see a shrink>I asked them if they suffered with something that truly effects all aspects of your life, with no one coming up with any answers would't they be depressed? or should I be walking down the street singing. If thats the case i would surly need a shrinkFriends inveted,

I, too, suffer from depression, along with my diabeties, and other problems. I have had some of the same symptoms you described. I have done better after discussing this with my dr and gotten on some meds. I am also learning to think positively and not dwell on the negative.

I'm glad to say that I went to the Doctor they suggested, and after a ten min. interview, He said I for the past 3 yrs, have been suffering from Panic attacks, and that because the emergency rooms are so crowed now, that all they do is stableize you then send you home, so quite often it takes a long while to get a diagnoses unless you are fortunate enough to have someone that has experienced someone with the same syptoms. It was a relief to get a diagnoses ,but I wouldn't wish it on anyone, I'm now on Medication for it, and it has helped,, but I thank you for your comments. MY BEST ROBERT

It is strange that you wrote this today. I happened to be talking with one of my friends about just such a thing. We were remembering ten years ago about her symptoms and the doctors telling her they were all in her head. What she had years ago sounds just like what you experienced. They at first told her it was depression and nerves. She didn't believe them but still saw a therapist while looking for some type of physical answer. She finally found it. She had developed allergies. Never in her 56 years had she been allergic to anything. Her allergy doctor said that 40% of both men and women develop them when their age reaches the early 50's 0r 60's. She now takes allergy medications prescribed by her doctor and is doing fine. YOU never know. Maybe you could mention this to your doctor. It is just a thought. Hang in there!!
