These are really sensible ideas. I have a problem with soups needing a diet to help control high cholesterol and high blood pressure, so one of the criteria for me is the sodium that most soups have, and other issues with various protein items such as peanut butter. I have not found anything different around my area, such as other items to replace peanut butter.

These are great! I love the soup as well, I have to try it as well. But I have to share something with you too. I discovered pita bread that is approved as diabetes food and I am so happy to use it with almost everything :) You can check it here

Pita is great. I have a neat recipe to make pita chips with it and that is great with a roasted veggie dip I make. That is a versatile food.

Some good ideas. The soup idea sounds very good, I am thinking about trying that one. Thanks Emma!!

The soup idea sounds like a good way to mix up what you eat each day as to avoid being bored with your meals. I have to go food shopping tomorrow, so that will be something for me to add to the list. Thank you for showing us that article!

The soup idea is new to me. Interesting. I might just have to keep some on hand. I love home made egg drop soup. I make my own broth with chicken and no salt, then add a nice farm fresh egg...hmmm

I wish I could use popcorn. It always spikes me, even if I just smell it popping! LOL

I'm the same way. I rarely go past 10 points after eating popcorn. And this is when I was eating a whole bag (didn't know it was considered 3 servings), so it would probably barely register if I ate the actual serving size.
