Hello guys, I sure hope most of you in the FL. area are prepared for our coming lay-in with TS FAY. She will be walking right across my house. I am on the river which is US1 here in Melbourne and am looking forward to some sleep. Those of you that are near make sure you have food and water, most of all your meds. Fay could be around a few days and you maybe flooded. She could rain aroud here at least a week and we would still be dry. Anyway I thought I would give those of you a HEADS_UP that are not news watchers. Good_luck all. OH! even if you are not in FL. there is a possiblity that FAY will walk thur FL. on up to the upper west-side States before she goes out to sea. Again, Take Care.

So far so good here in Melb. Fay is 30 miles south now at 1:23am and we are getting the quiet part now with winds at 5mls per hr. From 12:30am until an hour ago Fay has been a real confused female with an attitude!!!. All of you will get some from her. Even my son in Atlanta which will be almost direct. All take care and hopefully she won't hang around long. Mr. Thomas is a commerical crabber and he is worried about those traps in the ST. John river but they only had 40mls winds there. Hopefully god has them all where they were. Blessed Happenings Ladies.

20" of rain!! and still coming. Are you floating away now? Yep, she is one of the strangest storms I have ever seen. Now she is headed back across the state, and we thought we were going to escape her. It looks like we will be getting her rain tomorrow thru the weekend maybe. At least she is not a mean storm, killing and obliterating things. One of our radio personalities said that she needed a hug so maybe she would stop crying and lingering so long.

Will he be the lucky fellow to embrace madam Fay? we had 30+ inches here in Palm Shores. We have a small canal next to our house and its about 5ft. deep it was overflowing into the road to my house and on to US1 into the drain headed for the river on the eatside of the street. I live in a little town in Melbourne called PalmShores. Town council hall is 400 ft. south of me. The streets are lighted up at night and its only a quarter of a mile from Pinena Causeway headed to Patric Air Force Base. SO, the drainage here is great. Plus my yard is all sand and grass. The sand is very dry and I have lots of plants and trees. My nearest neighbor is about 1000ft. and the road is far enough away that I can stand around here in nothing and won't be seen from the main highway. All the rest outside of my yard is woodenfence. So I can't see them and they can not see me. Anyway the water was gone this morning when we got up. 48 hours of straight rain. So, you all in the path get eady and get prepared. Though now she seens to be elongating towards the north. Those high pressures on both sides wont let her move so she is being a women and manipulating around until she gets thur to where she wants to be. And there is a couple of little ones behind her out in the Atlantic almost following the same path. Lets hope they find men and get busy with other things. Good Luck All.

I don't know our official rainfall amount, but our raingauge in the yard has gathered over 10" of rain in the last two days. Nothing compared to you, but it is a lot for our retention areas to hold. Fortunately, the levels are already receeding and now we are just waiting for the old oaks to start falling from the saturated ground. There are several, and more that are leaning over a lot. We just have a moat at our house in the back and down the two sides. The house is on an island sort of, so all is well. The sun came out and the humidity was enough to choke a fish! We are still getting some rain bands, but nothing long and drawn out. Whew! Round two anyone!?

Hi Thomas,
I have been glued to the tv and watching this storm. She has been a weird one. I am in Marion county, so we thought we were going to get left out of all of the fun, but it looks like she is going to make a U turn and come back for a visit. We are ready, everything we need in a tidy pack and ready to roll. Thanks for all of your prayers, we appreciate them.

Hello to all Floridians. I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well with you. I am also hoping we get a little of your rain. We here in South Carolina have serious drought conditions.
Be safe.

Being prepared is a must when you have diabetes or any kind of medical condition. I live in TX and have been through a few tornados. I keep a bag packed with a weeks worth of meds always in my center room of my home. I add the insulin at the last moment. Good luck in Florida and anyone in Fay's path You are in our prayers

Patti, I would not get to comfortable yet. You are still a possibility if she starts to keep west. As big as she is she'll reach you to. I am glad she saw me first. My husband will be in the house till late Sat. at the least. YESSS he is driving me nuts. He goes to Greencove off sr16 and then hit 13 and they drop into ST.Johns from the back side. He is leaving Sat. to go check his equipment. I can't wait. Luck Girl
