I was on Humulin I from the 4th February this year till 6th May this year when I was changed over to Lantus. Humulin Peaks then drops and I was wakening up around 4-5 am with tremors and BS was down between 2.2 and 3.6 UK (39.6 and 64.8 US) I was terrified I would go into a hypo and die in my sleep. I was assured this would not happen but to ease my fears the diabetic nurse changed me over to Lantus which does not Peak you just have to make sure that if it is slightly low last thing at night take a small snack to keep it going through the night thanks to Mewella I now take tea biscuits (graham crackers) with a little pntbutter.
