cost of medication

Does anyone know where to get help for the cost of my diabetes meds. I take lantus ,humalog,victoza. i have medical and prescription insurance but the cost of all my meds and co pays is running 500 to 700 a month and my hours at work have been cut so i can't afford them. all the sites i go to i don't qualify for because i make a little too much and I have insurance. can anyone help

Having insurance sometimes makes it just as hard as being uninsured. You can talk also to your pharmacist and see if they can offer any suggestions. Those guys know their stuff. The other alternative is to ask the drug companies directly. There are sometimes ways they can reduce your costs.

Check your insurance to see if there are other preferred brands. Humalog has apidra and novolog as alternatives, lantus has levemir as an alternative and victoza has byetta as an alternative.
