I currently see three doctors. One for COPD, one for the diabetes, one for Migraines and lower bilateral nerve damage. The first and third doctor continually add and change my medicines which cause problems with my sugar levels. I can't get them to talk to one another so that the problems can be managed better. Does anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions?

YOU are the most important part of your medical treatment team. If a doctor puts you on new meds…ask if they will affect your blood sugar, then come home and look it up on the internet(or ask a pharmacist) and if it does affect your blood sugar…call the doctor and tell them you can't take it. Be pushy…and remember that doctors are only human and can make mistakes too.

yes i do. I have 3 drs also, and they are constanly giving me more or changing my meds. My primary took me off of metformin because it making me sick and the diabetic clinic puts me back on them. My rheumatoligist keeps givng me meds that makes my blood sugar goes up. All the doctors are at the same place and they looks at my medical chart on the computers. I guess that the doctors really only care about what they are doing.
