It is always an adjustment to get a new doctor. When I had insurance, I had a doctor I liked pretty well. We could talk and I always felt like he was there to help me. When I lost all of that, I lost him too. For years I was without one until I found out I was diabetic. Then I knew I had to find someone. I have to say that the doctor I have at the clinic is really quite good as well. We have developed a good relationship and as I continue to progress, I am sure we will become even stronger. It takes time and also getting them to realize that we do have a say in our own treatment. I hope your new one turns out to be a great friend and ally for you.
