Does anyone also have this same combination.
Everytime I get an attack of Asthma, and I've had three severe attacks in the last year and a half that has landed me in the hospital. And the first thing they give me is steroids to get my Asthma under control, which then gets my diabestes out of control…it has gone as high as 500. Then I'm sent home with steriods in pill form and it takes a while to get my diabetes down under 200. It drives me crazy and sometimes I just want to give us…

Hi Monkeymama…I've been having a rotten year as well…I've been hospitalized three times this past year for severe respiratory failure…Asthma. I had asthma as a kid and it went away in my 20's…now it came back as an adult like a vengence. While i'm in the hospital they give steroids in an I.V. then a week later they send me home with more steroids in pill form (prednisone) Needless to say my diabetes stays in the 400's and like you it's been in the 500. Now they put me on oxygen 24 hours a day, I have a bi-pap machine for my problems with my diaphram and sleep apneia, and a machine to inhale my meds for asthma. I'm so weak now, I fall alot,
and I'm not too balance on my feet. But I go walking as tolerated…Why do some people loose so much weight taking the same medication as I do, while I gained so much this past two years. I stay so hungry at night…during the day not so much, but once I sit down to relax and see alittle
television at night, boy you'de think I'de been smoking pot all day…

Hello there Tio! I have had a rough 2010 with my asthma and type 2 diabetes. The last time I went through a episode, it shot my BG over 500 and my A1C to go up even more. It especially gets hard when I get a long infection, pneumonia, and bronchitis. My asthma does not like this one bit. Prednisone is the favorite treatment for my lungs along with breathing treatments every 2 hours with another kind of nebulizer treatments, and more.
